Collar - summer fun red and green £45

All of my collars are decorative and designed as pieces of wearable art.

Nearer to a necklace or choker than a scarf they are decorated to varying degrees, either working on mostly the fabric or with gauze, ribbons, beads, buttons and rhinestones.

They do also do a good job of keeping a chill off sensitive necks and so are ideal for those who carry tension in their necks.

Fastened by tieing the smaller ends of the collar behind the neck this allows real versatility,
wear a bejewelled model close to the neck over bare shoulders with an evening dress,
wear it comfortably casually with a open necked blouse, dress up a plain tshirt to so much more, or even wear it over a polo neck jumper or existing large plain collar on a jumper, scarf or top.

Sage collar is set in various gentle greens. With three different greens in the organza strips there is some sparkle, which is picked up with the tiny gold detailling in the green and black bead/seed pod at the throat of the collar.





 

I usually work with reused or found fabrics.

If you have unwanted fabric you would like to donate (from lacy curtains to corduroy chair throws) I may well be able to make good use of it.

It does not matter if a piece is damaged or stained in places as I will either incorporate or work around the damage.

I may be able to collect around mid-devon or arrange collection by a friend elsewhere.

*red brown jumbo cord
* light-medium weight black, charcoal or dark brown fabrics
* white cotton(/poly) (torn sheets?) for cutting into strips
* small floral prints
*ivory/cream lacy fabrics
* candlewick bedspreads
* night dresses (especially cotton/old fashioned)
* brocade curtains (old fashioned quite heavy fabric) especially bright colours, but muted or natural colours also welcome.
